Discover how Out and About North East CIC can bring impactful talks, workshops, and community events to your organisation. Dedicated to building a stronger, more connected community in South Tyneside and beyond.
"OAA volunteers who have personal experience with topics like loneliness or adversity would share their stories. This would create a safe, open environment, helping participants feel less isolated and more understood."

Why Partner with Out and About North East CIC?
When you choose our programs, you're not just getting great support you're directly investing in the North East community and helping us combat isolation.
We are a team of trained volunteers who genuinely get it, because we use our own lived experiences of mental health challenges to connect with people. This powerful blend of personal stories and formal training means we offer support that is truly authentic and relatable. We are volunteers not clinical professionals.
About Our Mission and Community
Out and About North East Community Interest Company is registered with the number 16661991 SIC Code 86900 - Other human health activities.
We operate firmly within the health and social sector. We are deeply dedicated to our members, who play a huge role in our community by bravely sharing their own stories and difficult experiences. This collective strength and shared honesty is what makes our work so effective.
We are specifically focused on combating isolation and loneliness and ensuring all our activities are mental health disability and neurodivergent-friendly.
We achieve this by providing both peer support services and family-focused community engagement:
Free Peer Support Sessions: Safe spaces for individuals to share, listen, and gain strength from others with similar experiences.
"Out and About North East" Social Group Drop-ins: Relaxed, non-clinical environments focused on reducing isolation and encouraging positive social connections.
Family Engagement: We are proud to be hired by organizations like the Ocean Road Mela Festival South Tyneside and the Citizens Assembly South Tyneside each year. We participate in fun days for families, featuring dance, sport, indoor, and outdoor games designed to encourage children and families to be active, have fun, and boost mental health together.
How Your Investment Helps
Because we're a volunteer-run CIC, every single penny you pay for our programs goes straight back into sustaining our vital community activities.
Your support keeps our community heart beating by funding:
The running of our free peer support sessions and social group drop-ins.
All the costs for our community fun days and activities.
Crucially, when you help us cover hire costs (for venues, materials, and transport), you're giving us the essential space to work. This allows us to actively promote good mental health, challenge the stigma, and ensure our inclusive services are there for everyone who needs them.
The Bottom Line: A Direct Partnership
When you hire us to support your staff, students, or patients, you gain authentic, real-world well-being support and instantly become a direct partner in building a healthier, more connected community right here in the North East.
