What you'll be doing
As a Drop-In Community Support Volunteer, you will be the welcoming face of Out And About North East CIC. Your tasks will include:
- Offering a warm welcome and refreshments.
- Actively engaging in conversations to encourage connection.
- Leading and running inclusive social activities, such as games and discussion groups.
- Providing empathetic emotional support through active listening.
- Assisting with sign-in, basic forms, and logistics for group days out.
Essential requirements
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Experience supporting vulnerable people or working in community settings.
- A valid, up-to-date Basic or Enhanced DBS Certificate.
- Proven empathetic communication skills.
- Basic administrative skills.
