Big thanks to South Tyneside Council! π
βWe are thrilled to announce that [OAA] has been awarded a £1,000 grant from the South Tyneside Council Community Area Forum (CAF).
βThis funding is a massive help toward our venue costs, ensuring we have a safe and welcoming place to meet. It also allows us to provide vital support for our community, including:
βπ² Hot Food: warm meals to share together.
β¨ Sensory Equipment: To create a calming, inclusive space.
π¨ Arts & Crafts: Specialized activities and materials for our neurodivergent members.
βA huge thank you to the Council for believing in what we do and helping us create a creative and supportive environment for everyone. π€π
Huge thanks to the legendary Gary for his incredibly kind donation of £100 to Out and About North East CIC! π
βGary, your generosity honestly means the world to us. This support goes a long way in helping us continue our work across the region, and seeing people step up like this is truly heartwarming.
βWe are so grateful to have you in our corner. High fives and a massive thank you from the whole team! ππ

βA Heartfelt Thank You to Kate Osborne MP
On February 3rd, we were so proud to welcome Kate Osborne MP to Out And About North East CIC at Jarrow Mindset.
βAs the founders, we (Becks and Natalie) want to say a huge thank you to Kate for taking the time to sit with our members, listen to their stories, and truly see the impact of what we do. It was a brilliant afternoon filled with the kind of warmth and inclusivity that we strive to create every single day.
βKate’s kind words about our work in tackling loneliness and building community confidence mean the world to us. We started this group to ensure everyone in the North East has a place to belong, whether that's through our drop-in sessions, day trips, or just a friendly chat over a cuppa.
βHaving our local MP recognize the passion and care we put into this space gives us even more motivation to keep growing and supporting our wonderful members.
βThank you, Kate, for your support and for championing the importance of mental wellbeing in our community!
