Your Local Home Away From Home

Whether you are looking for a friendly conversation or a quiet place to relax, our OAA drop-in doors are open. For a £1.50 donation, you can enjoy unlimited refreshments, plenty of biscuits, and a warm meal when available. Our space is thoughtfully designed to be neurodivergent-friendly and accessible to those with disabilities. We welcome all ages to join our community—which currently spans ages 15 to 87—though we ask that those under 16 bring an adult along.

At OAA, your preferences lead the way. Instead of following a rigid schedule, we build our days around the unique interests of our group members. Whether it’s a quiet local stroll, a coffee catch-up, or exploring a museum, every outing is shaped by your ideas. By putting the community in the driver’s seat, we make sure every trip is something everyone truly looks forward to.

Location: Jarrow Mindset, Ellison Street (Right next to the Viking Statue in Jarrow)
Mondays: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
