Our Social Media Strategy

At Out And About North East CIC, we recognise the importance of social media in building community and promoting our mission to combat loneliness and improve mental well-being. Our strategy is built on authentic, uplifting, and transparent content across various platforms.

Facebook: Community Central

Our Facebook page will serve as a central hub for community building and detailed information. We'll share regular event updates for upcoming meet-ups, workshops, and family fun days. Photo albums and videos from past events will showcase the positive atmosphere, and inspiring stories from our members and volunteers (with their permission) will demonstrate the impact of our work. We will also host live Q&A sessions. This is where members connect via facebook posts and community connections.

Instagram: Visual Inspiration

Instagram will be our visual showcase, focusing on vibrant and inspiring moments. Expect quick, engaging Reels and photo carousels of our day trips, walks, and activities, as well as branded graphics with quotes about self-esteem, confidence, and mental well-being. We’ll also share behind-the-scenes Instagram Stories to give followers a glimpse into the planning and preparation of our events. Client testimonials and polished photos from OAA events will be highlighted to reinforce credibility.

TikTok: Authentic and Shareable

TikTok will be used for short, authentic, and shareable video content. Look out for "A Day with OAA" videos showing the progression of an event, from people arriving to socialising. We will also share quick mental health tips, positive thoughts, and snippets of our volunteers sharing powerful takeaways from their journeys. This platform will primarily target general audience.

YouTube: In-Depth Content

YouTube will be our home for longer-form, in-depth content. You’ll find full-length videos of our inspiring talks and mental health workshops, interviews with our founders, volunteers, and partners, and longer video testimonials from individuals sharing how Out And About North East CIC has positively changed their lives. An educational series offering deeper insights into topics like building resilience and overcoming social anxiety will also feature. We will use YouTube to provide a "look and feel" of our sessions by uploading short, engaging clips or trailers of our talks and workshops.
